Hello world! I am a new blogger, a writer in her infancy, and mostly, a musician who wants to update you on all the things I am doing!

2025. A new record. An “aging” musician. Trying to burst thru these algos!

Ok so. If you know me, or if you don’t, I’ve been making music for a while. My name is Teeny, but I go by Lou. I’ve been in a lot of bands - playing lots of those bars with that very specific floor smell that only those who have been in bars or music spaces before the drinking begins, know. I know that smell intimately.

That’s to say, I’m a nice ripe 42, and I’m feeling a little crispt around the edges - I’d like to drink my Diet Colas in a little more comfort, perhaps with me doggy at me side, on my couch covered in hair. SO, I’m starting a substack (cause my body hurts too much to hit the van for months on end) with the hopes of building a little community here, online. (this is not to say i won’t tour cause i will tour so bring me on tour, ok?!)

Things happening.

i guess i’m a person who likes to do lots of different things, like a polymath? lol. polyhistor. eep. opsimath! polyporpoise. hehe.

But mostly, music things are happening in lots of different ways, and I’d like to tell you about them personally. The algo can be such a punisher, I don’t feel like I’m actually reaching the people who may care! I’ll tell ya about my ongoing projects, my songs, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll go on a tangent here and there cuz I’m a hater! A troll! A thespian. An amateur cook. I TOLD YA I’M POLY!

Autostatic! Out May 23rd on Switch Hit Records

The big news is my debut LP as Lou Tides, Autostatic!, will be coming out May 23rd on Switch Hit Records.

Many, many years in the making, I’m very proud of this work. Co-produced by myself and Bartees Strange, I believe this record shows my pivot towards raw, experimental synth worlds, away from my indie upbringing. We made this record with so many amazing musicians, and I’m so happy to be able to finally share it with the world.
